Excellent, and you are certainly clocking up the completions ... and we are only just through the first week in Feb ...

Thanks very much all, the Destroyer is a really simple, old-fashioned kit

I repainted the intakes and I decided to use the kit tracks and firstly airbrushed them with Gun Metal followed by Sandy Brown. Over this I applied an umber wash.

I decided it may be best to fix the tracks onto the wheels using a thick cyanoacrylate. Tweezers were inserted between the mud guards and the tracks to hold them against the wheels as the glue set.

The model was mounted on a wooden plinth, upon which I spread a mix of Plaster of Paris, water, umber poster paint and earth scatter. This was roughed up and rough grass added in patches.

I have some tidying up to do. I'd like a second opinion on the black and yellow stripes that I had noted and whether tactical marking were likely, so not quite finished.

Well, you made the kit tracks work, Ratch and have a promising vignette shaping up. As to the tactical markings, I can't help I'm afraid.

Splendid work on the B-66. The NMF came out great.

Sweet sag on the Crusader's tracks. Man, she is teeny! Looks spot on, on the base.

Nice, that is a proper bit of nostalgia ship modelling, Ratch. The art work on the Graf Spee box is one of my favourites. Why two kits though? are you building the GS and a sister ship?

One will be full hull and the other waterlined - well, that's the plan

Having just tuned in via the last post, and seen the word "waterlined" you instantly had my full attention.

This must be one of the few 1/600 ships that I have not yet tackled.

As for flickr I will be interested in how you get on with it. The one bit that narks me is how it puts the users name (from your account and registration login I guess) on every image you embed on forums

It does me too Chris  Its a bit different to Picturetrail (which I've been using for more than ten years) and I may only use Flickr for my WIP initially

I shall have to look for some unusual pictures of Spee

I have never had a problem with the post image site direct on the forum. Just curious why others do not use it?
