We joined parked up and the train at Bridgnorth.

Period entertainmentis a feature of these events.
Brendan Shaw has been a regular at this event for a number of years. When I first saw him about 5 years ago I wasn't impressed, but either he has improved immeasurbly or my tastes/opinions have changed, now I look forward to seeing his act and thoroughly recommend his performance.

The D-Day Darlings. Apparently they did well on Britains Got Talent.

They got interupted.

A hot summer afternoon, three pretty girls and a cold pint of Stoffords.

A little bit of a cheat. This 08 shunter was built in 1952, though the design does originate from an almost unchanged pre-war L.M.S. designed diesel shunter.

Our haulage for the return journey.

Great photos General, thanks for sharing. As a Southern Region man born and bred the West Country/Battle of Britain class do it for me every time. I have very vague memories of them still running in the mid sixties when I was a toddler. The Bullied "Box Pox" wheels have been ingrained in my memory ever since. Love the BMW bike too.

Thanks for the appreciation gentlemen. For Lady Rocket and myself, this is one of our annual must do days out. Never yet done the day in period costume or uniform, though many do. The Displays of old cars and vehicles along the line are always fascinating one station having a whole line of Austin Seven's with a single Rolls Royce two seater.
I agree about the Beemer, seriously tasty.

Further pictures of D-Day Darlings available on request.
