Farnborough Modelfest 2018 Photos

Post by IronMan129 »

The Barber Quad made its first appearance at the 2018 Farnborough Modelfest last Saturday, there was alot fantastic work on display, also plenty of bargains if you looked in the correct areas(not mentioning a certain trader we stay away from) it was awesome to see the Hobbyboss 1/18th Scale AV-8B+ on display, what a beast!
We've already made plans to come down for a long weekend next year once the dates are released.

Glad you enjoyed it. I have to ask, what possessed you to buy the old tool Airfix C-47?

I've wanted a DC-3/C-47 for a while, with the AC-47 big the original Puff the magic Dragon and I knocked the seller down to £5.50 from £8 so I couldn't really resist.

Have you ever built that old tooling?

It is very, very poor - even by the standards that were acceptable at the time it was first issued. I built it in Silver City colours around 1970/71 and I remember my brother building another in that "Spooky" scheme.

No this is the first kit of any DC-3 type aircraft I've ever owned because ever one except this on is way out of my budget.
Still at lease it gave you memories :).
