GE F101 Engine GB - Cancelled, unless someone steps forward
So here is my idea.
We stage a group build around the General Electric F101 engine and its upgrades for example the F110, F118 and the CFM-56.
That means we can build these aircraft:
Rockwell B-1B Lancer
Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon
McDonald Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle
Grumman F-14 Tomcat
Lockheed U-2 Dragonlady
Northrop-Grumman B-2 Spirit
Boeing B737-300, -400, -500, -600, -700, -800, -900, BBJ, P-8 Poseidon, E7 Wedgetail
Airbus A340-200, -300
Airbus A318, A319, A320, A321
Douglas DC-8-70
KC-135R, EC-135, E-6 Mercury, E-3C, E-3D, upgraded RC-135's, TC-135W, Airseeker R.1,
I think there are more but more research is required.
It's just an idea, if anybody has any input please feel free to comment or PM me.

Re: General Electric F101 engine GB in 2020?
I've taken the liberty of modifying the title as I thought it was an F-101 Voodoo GB

Re: GE F101 Engine Series GB in 2020?
You might want to add KC-135Rs and RC-135s to that list.
Regarding 707, only one 707 was fitted (upgraded) with CFM-56s as a test airframe, but they were subsequently fitted to the E-3s operated by the RAF, French and Saudi Air Forces as well as the E-6 Mercury.

No problems, and ahhhhh sorry to be pedantic Adam but no B720s ever had CFMs fitted.
The KC-135 was actually Model Number 717 in the Boeing books until they gave it to the ex-McDonnell Douglas MD-95 twin jet that now bears the number.

Awesome!
I want to do my Finemolds F-14 next year, even if these GBs dont get going I'll be doing it as well as the Great Wall Hobby F-15I RA'AM.

Re: GE F101 Engine GB - Cancelled
Sorry everyone but due to personal reasons after the Tornado GB I am no longer going to lead Group Builds so I have cancelled this idea.

Per the Guidelines, if there is broad interest someone else may pick this up and run with it.
Simply add a post to express your interest and then go through the normal steps to recruit, schedule, etc.
Splash or I can assist to modify the thread title for you.

Cool, in that case I'd like to add my interest with a Great Wall F-15I RA'AM.
