Caloundra Air Museum, QLD, Sep 2019

Post by skypirate »

Large (80 aircraft exhibits), privately-owned museum, about 90 mins drive from Brisbane. On a day following dust storms; everything was covered in dust. Here is a sample.

There was also a Sea Vixen forward fuselage mounted on a trailer for mobile display!

That looks a great place David, with some good looking exhibits. No Catalina leaking hydraulic fluid though? ;-)
Best wishes

Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Nope. None of these are in flyable condition. No taxiways, or Hurricanes to dodge.
