Bolton Model Show 19-01-2020

Post by Tarkas »

Another year, another show season, starting as usual with Bolton. Well up to the usual standard, in the same excellent venue. Took about 3 dozen photos of stuff that caught my fancy, so there were a lot of excellent models there that aren't included . Rather than post it all here, here's a link to my Flickr album:

However, there are a couple or three that I just had to put here in tribute to two stalwarts of this Forum. First is Falcon's brilliant BAe Systems Tempest kitbash, which looks even better in the plastic, so to speak, than it does on this forum. The surface finish in particular is exquisite.

And here it is with other stuff on the Project Cancelled stand. Am very fond of the Huntsman, too.

And lastly is one for our own splash. After following Alan's amazing "Stephenson's terror weapon" build, I took one look at this and just had to get a shot of it:

I would never ride one, but I can see a couple of them as escorts for the Terror Weapon... Also like the stand sirens, though I bet their heads get tired from those overgrown toppers. 8-)

Some really good stuff there; I really liked the Dambusters in black and white 8-)

Thanks for putting them up :)
Best wishes

Great photos, thanks for sharing.
I, also, noted the B/W Dambuster as a friend and I just had a discussion this week about how a B/W model would go over on a contest table.
