Milliput - How to fill seams/gaps on a scale model aircraft

Post by Lazur »

Hi fellow modelers,

I made a video about filling unwanted seams/gaps on a scale model aircraft. I know that the process is a bit messy, but I like Milliput because it doesn`t shrink.

Cut off an equal length

Knead and roll it in the hands for at least 5 minutes

Stretch it (use parchment paper)

Drop of tap water

Paste-like consistency

Apply Milliput

Moisten the tool and smooth the Milliput gently

Sand it (Milliput will set hard in three to four hours without shrinking)

Image

Apply diluted putty to hide micro cracks

Cheers!

I watched this recently. I used Milliput for the first time a little while back and was looking for some tips. It was just what I needed. Thanks!
