HMCS Snowberry (Flower Class) Corvette 1/144 - Advice

Does anyone have experience of making the 1/144 scale Flower Class Corvette?

Does it go together well 'out of the box', or does it need a lot of work? I want to give it to someone who is a very experienced modeller, but he's now reached an age where he just wants to make something without the bother of a lot of filler and re-working.

Not built this one myself but from the reviews I have read the stern part needs a bit of filler and the open bridge deck parts need care to line up properly. Sorry I can't be of more help.
