Hello from Ghent in Belgium

Post by Gilbert_H »

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and I would like to introduce myself.
I started modelling in the early 1960s. Mostly aircraft, from Airfix (in those days they came in a plastic bag with a "Type 2" header), but also some Frog and Revell.
I live in a suburb of Ghent (Flanders, Belgium). In the 1960s there were at least five model shops in Ghent. Today none is left…
My painting is done with brushes, and I use mostly enamel paints from Humbrol and Xtracolor.
I join a photograph of my most recent work, a 1/72 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109G-1 from AZmodels.

Currently, I am busy building two Hurricanes Mk. I from Airfix. The one in 1/72 scale is almost finished, construction of the second one (1/48) is well under way !
Regards, Gilbert

Welcome Gilbert, it's nice to have you here. I'm really impressed with your 109 (and the Typhoon in your Avatar) - that's a great bit of Brushwork!

I know I was there last February for a conference and checked, had to console myself with many excellent beers! A beautiful city.
