Yes, wasn't that super coooooool! The future of space exploration right before out eyes!

Yeah, so they didn't quite nail the landing, but then nor do most Olympic gymnasts and skaters nowadays....

Excellent. And I love Musk's description: "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly".

Exciting times for space exploration again! RUD or not, that's a clever bit of kit for certain 8-)
Best wishes

Awesome job by Spacex. This rocket kind of reminds me of a kids TV show where they had a reusable rocket and collected space junk. In one episode they found and restored a B25 in the jungle. Iirc George Peppard was in the cast.
Anyone else remember it?

All the best

Greg

Edit. Did some research. It wasn't George Peppard. And the series was called Salvage 1.

I wonder if the first human pilot will be Dan Dare?

The interesting things about Starship are the various unorthodox concepts that are incorporated both into its design and its flight profile.

Indeed - a ground-breaking enterprise with outside the box thinking is just what the space programme needs.

Yeah, Andy Griffith, pre-Matlock. It was hokey but had some cool stuff happen sometimes, like the aforementioned plots.

That's the actor I was thinking was Peppard. I have found a few episodes on YouTube so going to watch them later today.
Watched a couple of clips, cheesey but fun to watch and a blast from the past.

All the best
