HMS London ****Finished****

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

Splash, your steady hand with all that etch is impressive, but in particular, that Seaslug launcher is simply AWESOME!

Alan,
do you recall when Sea Slug was launched for the last time? Somewhere in the dark (very dark) recesses of my memory, I’ve an idea that I was somehow, very indirectly involved. Yep, that makes as much sense to you as it does to me!!!

Cheers Tim

If I ever build one again I would change the PE cradle on the Seaslug launcher with a more substantial scratch build unit. But to be fare the actual size is small enough not to notice.

Were you a target pilot 8-) if so it wasn’t a very good Missile. :ha: :ha: :ha:

The Seaslug trials started in the mid to late 50’s and went into service in 1961 test firings took place from the modified repair ship HMS Guirdle Ness and from a platform at Aberporth ranges.

I personally watched HMS Devonshire fire a practice SeaSlug when doing a NATO exercise and it’s impressive with it’s four boosters separating just after launching.
