Italeri 1/16 Mercedes SL 300

Post by kpnuts »

Hi all next victim is the italari 1/16 Mercedes 300 SL, first thing I don't like is the distributor and plug leads are molded as part of the rocker cover (I don't even know why they would do that at this scale)

Hi all well for a kit of this age I can't believe how well the body goes together (considering all the complex curves) look how little filler ive used.

Wonderful lines on the 300SL. Should be an impressive model 8-)

I was going to do this deep impact blue (I had a can of it and thought I would use it on this) not quite enough, but it worked as a good primer for this colour. Added some ht leads.

Nice detailing.

That car is such a good looking design.

A nice job so far, looking forward to the rest of it. Glad to see it goes together so well, have had this in the stash for a few years.

Very impressive. I like the colour too, a change from the usual silver.

It's great to see one of your builds again, KP, the Mercedes looks really excellent and the colour makes a refreshing change to the more usual silver finish.
