I think the engine nacelles are fine. The fit very well and the engine faces have some depth and detail.
I have test fit the glass pieces and except for a small gap at the rear of the main canopy, all seems well. Even the rear turret pieces.

As I think you know, I am a Hercules nacelle JMN (don't get me started on the Airfix Beau!), so bearing that in mind, please be prepared to ignore everything that follows:

I think the engine front intakes are slightly too wide in diameter on the Airfix Hali (although the engine front face detail as you say is good). A shim of thin plastic strip laid around the circumference of the opening would get the diameter down to the correct size.
The detail on the cooling flaps at the rear of the cowling is very vague and the cooling flaps themselves are very thick. Some sanding at the rear edge of the flaps may improve their appearance.

Regardless of the above, I hope you continue to enjoy the build. I certainly plan to enjoy looking at it when it's finished!

What you describe are rather easy fixes for starters. I mean, all cooling flaps on Airfix early kits are, well, they just need re-working.
But considering what I have been through with this kit, I am thrilled to say I will get it done. And like my signature says...............

During this period, if an aircraft manufacturer could get away without flush-rivetting then they would. Flush rivetting involves an extra process (countersinking) that leads to extra production time and cost. So go for those bumpy rivets

Engine nacelles painted and mounted today. Ready to paint the black undersurface. Also removed all the flash from the prop blades. I have two blades to attach that were loose in the box.

I somehow missed this thread until this morning. Its fun watching you build this kit, as the Halifax was my first Airfix kit ever. I built it when I was in the sixth grade, and I recall sitting at my desk on a Saturday evening painting the interior parts with a pale green color from a flip-top plastic container that came with a paint-by-numbers set
Those were the days.
