Airfix(scratch) 1/600 Exeter

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

Added search light platform in center. Moved search light to end of super-structure. Added secondary turrets.

I've got two more AAA guns, looks like they're vertical quad mounts, similar to what are on the AAA platform in the stern.
Shall I put them behind the bridge? Or midships?

After the AAA, the rest of the spaces, I'll put life-boats where I can.

This is an excellent bit of kit bashing, Sherlocker, great stuff.

Finally finished this guy. I painted about 200 little figs for my brother's Star Wars: Rebellion game. Kinda got sick of painting. Finally came back to this.

The camo - is actually taken from the HMS York, and I added some flashing to it.
(edited, changed pic size)

The med AAA on the boat deck - Those were stubs from "something" from Suffolk (can't remember what). And then I clipped some staples for the barrels and cross.

The Exeter and its chums look fantastic. Any plans for the parted out Suffolk?

I kept the hull, and whatever spare parts remaining from the Suffolk/Ajax. I've still got quite a few in "the stash" (Ark Royal, KGV, Prinz Eugen, Repulse, Suffolk, Belfast, Narvik). I was thinking I could a De Reuyter by combining another Ajax hull (versatile anyone?), with bridge and stack from Graf Spee and some mods for the 2-1-2-2 turrets of DR. Suffolk hull -> I've got a sheet somewhere, that gives the relative length of various WW2 ships. Exeter and De Reuter are very close length to Ajax, and similar arrangement. So if I can find something of similar length to the Suffolk, I'll find some way to re-use it.

They do all look very nice. It’ll be great to see your collection grow.

Building the de Ruyter would be very cool!
