It may be sacrilege to admit it here but my rekindled love of painting is seriously detracting from my model making. Here are a few I have finished recently (with apologies if I have shared some of them here before). I want to do more aviation based painting and have a very nice Spitfire in the works seen from underneath against a dramatic cloudscape. It is the type of view I can reproduce over and over just substituting the aircraft involved. The paintings - like many artworks - actually look better from a distance so the photos don't show them at their best IMHO. Comments gratefully received ladies and gents.
Gone to it's new owner sadly but I already have an order for two more of these Lancasters - albeit one for myself and one for my son!
A sneak peek at the Spitfire WIP(s)
Cheers
Al.

Very nice, I wish I had your skills. I Like all, but the kitten and the Lancasters are my favourites.

Great work Al, very creative!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

All very nice. I like the dappled sunlight through the trees on the park bench.
