Airfix 00 scale Mogul 2-6-0 Locomotive

Post by Natter »

Built for the 1973 theme for this year's Telford show, Airfix's Mogul from their 1973 boxing. The decals are really poor, but I didn't find out about Fox Decals until the build was complete otherwise I would have acquired some of those. The model is built straight out of the box with no additions, just as it would have been 50 years ago; though the finishing techniques have probably improved since then.

Great work David, did you manage to get the running gear to work? I used the Fox decals on mine but they are a pain to use and didn't adhere well.

I did indeed James, though it isn't perfect by any means. None the less, it does work; though only if you turn it by hand - it won't turn by pushing it along the track.
