Top Guns - Inside the RAF
I suffered the first episode! I guess I shall have to continue watching but it is ‘cringe worthy’ stuff - I guess having ‘been there, done that, got the coffee cup’ does give me insight. I really don’t think these types of ‘reality shows’ work - but that is my opinion.

Re: Top Guns - Inside the RAF
I've not watched it (yet) but I'm sure it'll turn up on Dave or similar at some point...
But as far as 'cringe-worthy' goes, any fly on the wall program about the Fire Service draws loads of comments from the crew here on drill nights, more because of post-filming editing than anything else and of course because no one wants to watch the six hours of boredom on a shout once it's extinguished, while we check for hotspots and make up all the equipment... doesn't make for good TV

Best wishes

That was probably the best bit! What amused me was the very portly pilot who checked out the U/S Typhoon after it had been fixed - the shot in profile was definitely not ‘his best side’.

Strange that, whenever I watch something to do with the present armed forces a lot of them seem to be 'portly'. We weren't fit and really enjoyed our ale but there were very few portly people around.
It's only pain, work through it.

I might have to suffer through the 2nd episode tomorrow night! I doubt it will be any better.

Yep, I suffered through episode 2. It is a wonder Garvie island still exists, I’ve dropped 21 1000lb (WW2 stock!) on the island alone. I have to say the kit in the Typhoon is astonishing.
