Bandai Imperial Star Destroyer 1/14500

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

Bandai Imperial Star Destroyer 1/14500

Post by AndrewR »

The small Bandai kit. About 6 cm long, with 20 pieces and a Matchbox style multipose stand.

I've used Medium Sea Grey on the sides and rear, with an overplay of Aircraft Grey, then a wash with thinned Dark Sea Grey. The main engine rings are Vallejo Collector Ring Metallic.

Great kit, snaps together in about twenty minutes. I used a tiny dab of glue on part of the bridge superstructure and needed a small amount of filler in a couple of places. It took much longer to paint and photograph, than assemble.
