Inter-war biplane serial codes and polished cowling

Post by CementNotGlue »

Hi all

is there a decal sheet of codes (J9682) with white boarders for tail fin and fuselarge? Not sure about underwing codes

Enamel paint for highly polished cowling. Which one?

Thanks for looking

For ‘decals’ I confess to making my own if no sheets are available however, if you look up aircraft types in the ‘J’ range similar in size to that upon which J9682 is adorned, then it might be possible to find a source - perhaps a little more detail?
If you want a highly polished cowling try a Molotow chrome pen, it isn’t enamel but boy does it shine! Just don’t touch until it is thoroughly dry.

OK, it is a Hawker Hornet! Try looking for Siskin transfers. Eg Siskin J8962 see if there are any sheets with the combination you can make.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.
