Tiger v Wall

Post by David Silver »

This started as an experiment to see if I could make 1/35 scale bricks but as usual I tend to get a bit carried away. Please ignore the backgrounds as I really have nowhere better to take pictures.

Love the wall. The Tiger ain't bad either  it looks like it's just come from another diorama titled "Tiger v Hedge"

That's brilliant David. 8-) The Tiger really bursts through that wall convincingly. I love the attention to detail like the dust/brick scatter on the tank front, and the saplings growing up against the wall.

Thanks Ben, looking at the pictures I see things that I could have done and things that I will try next time. Do we ever really finish these things?

Great result on both Wall and Tiger! 😀👍🏼
I like to carve old kits into something roughly aircraft/tank shaped...

I absolutely love that David - that's competition winning good IMHO. Every aspect is superb, the wall, the debris, the tank, the figures, the ground surface etc. etc.
So I have to ask (because I wanna do it now), how did you make the bricks?

An excellent scene 👍
What did you use for the foliage, it looks like a holly tree.
Best wishes

Thanks Jim and Stuart. The foliage was made from dried plant things from Sainsbury's where they sell the flowers. I dunked them in a green oil paint wash, painted the main branches brownish, smeared on PVA with a toothpick and sprinkled on the most leafish looking grass powder stuff I had. The foliage was also experimental as I've never tried doing anything like it before.
