Challenger 1, ACE Co., 1/72

Post by flakmonkey »

It came in an Academy box but it's the old Ace Co. kit from (I think) 1997 or so. It doesn't exactly fall together but it is a very nice kit and it costs around half the price of exactly the same kit in a Revell box.

Started for a Blitzbau from which I had to withdraw, but it's finished now, in the markings of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards during Operation Desert Storm in 1991.

Really well done!! Looking good :-)
I especially like the motor deck and fuel cap weathering!
I like to carve old kits into something roughly aircraft/tank shaped...

Brilliant finish for 1/72 - I'd have assumed 1/35 otherwise.

Very nice up-armoured Chally Flak - did it come with two antenna pods or just the one?
