Off on another jaunt, David? You're quite a globetrotter

The first of 3 major workbench disruptions this year, Richard! My wife is keen to get about before we are uninsurable. I can't say I mind, though 3 is testing my limits (and my insurability )
Cheers

Beautiful Avenger. It all seems right on.

Re: Skypirate's Hideaway
I had a look for an Avenger advert in my Airfix Mag stash David - sadly no luck. Sorry to have raised your hopes. Plenty of other amusing ads though such as the lady who has taken up sculpting in plasticene! I guess the mother's little helpers were kicking in for her...
The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

Lovely job on the Avenger David, that's a fantastic result from such old plastic!
Have a great trip to NZ, bet you won't get a breakfast as good as mine though

That Avenger has come a long way from its humble beginnings. I look forward to pouring over the final photos

Re: Skypirate's Hideaway
That is an excellent Avenger, nice to see the old kit built so beautiful!! Almost makes me check online auctions to get one myself...
I like to carve old kits into something roughly aircraft/tank shaped...
Re: Skypirate's Hideaway
Great work on the Avenger. Even though the canopy looks to be a pain it really is a striking feature of the aircraft. You did a great job there.
Just wondering, how chilly is 'chilly South Island' in NZ? It must be turning to fall there. NZ looks so wonderfully green in all the photos I see, except for the mountains.

Re: Skypirate's Hideaway
Gentlemen, thank you, all!
Yes it is quite chilly here at Lake Tekapo (700m ASL) if not in direct sunlight. But NZ is suffering it's worst drought in 90 years, so no greenery unless specially irrigated.
Airbnb breakfasts are usually non-existent, Jim. They completely ignore the 2nd B.
Now, seriously, chaps, some useful detail for anyone contemplating a 1/72 Bell 47.
At the Air Force of New Zealand Museum at Wigram, South Island, Friday 22 March 2024.
Notice the various pipes are different colours, and there is a stretcher basket mounted on the starboard side.
Good luck with that!

That is one of the best builds of the classic Airfix Avenger that I've seen, David, marvellous. Have a great trip!
