Willy Wokka's Fudge Factory.

A new project on the bench. This time it's the SM.82 Marcupiale by Italeri.
The box came with it's own booklet with a brief history of the aircraft and lots of details as well as photos.




It also came with a poster printed on card of the aircraft and showing the different camo options in the kit.




Finally the sprues, parts count is not too big for such a large aircraft in 1:72 scale.

Looking forward to the SM.82. You have a very interesting collection of aircraft subjects. Going back a bit, I really enjoyed the build pics of the Drache. A strangely good looking aircraft to me. Very fine job on it!

COOL! Another Italian tri-motor! That's a good looking project Wokka and not a type I've heard of. I have built a collection of a few Italian WWII bombers so I might have to look out for this one.

I've done the interior, it has a double floor which Italeri have reproduced but it's pointless as you can't see anything once it's buttoned up.

I do wonder why manufacturers put in details which will never be seen: do they assume that modellers are like me and build cut-away models?

That looks a good kit, and you look to be off to a good start with it. I like the addition of the information booklet too...

That does indeed look like a good kit and is an interesting choice of type - I can't say that I've ever heard of the SM.82, which is not that surprising as my general knowledge of Italian types is rather woeful.

That's the fuselage and wings on, I now have something looking like an aeroplane. There's a bit of a gap between the horizontal stabilizers and the fuselage but nothing copious amounts of filler can't deal with.

Some thin plastic strip before filler maybe? Nah, sod it, just dump in the filler! Looking good though Wokka, great to see another tri-motor on the go.

I guess so it can be seen in workbench threads like this LM?
That does look a nice kit Wokka. I have a soft spot for Italian aircraft but for some reason have always shied away from building them.

Coming along very nicely. Gap should be no issue with filler. That being said I also like the thin plastic strip thing too. Makes a nice sturdy joint but is a bit more of a pain sanding flush. There is always the reliable CA filler too.

That's the camo done, now for the decals and then fitting the engines.

I have not seen this pattern before - very interesting and rather different. Glad to see that the various gaps have disappeared.
