Jon's C-130E 313th TAW-1-144 Minicraft

Is anyone up to the Herculean task of building a C-130 in the allotted time? The timeless Herky Bird just keeps going but the GB runs from Feb 10 to Apr 7 - your GBL is Stuart.

Thanks, good luck on the camo scheme Ray! It's not as bad as I made it out to be, just "tedious". LOL. I masked the windows for gloss cote, the gloss sometimes gives the clear parts a "rippled " look, I don't always have "good luck", better to be cautious at this stage of the game! LOL

If I ever do attempt another camo Hercules I would do the C-130A "Roman Nose" model. I like the nose on the early Herks.

Actually Stuart this kit had markings options for one "E" model-SEA camo in Vietrnam....NMF "A" model with radar nose and 3 bladed props in NMF and orange wing and tail markings...."A" model with SEA camo 4 bladed props and "Roman nose". Here are the 2 A model markings.

The build is complete minus decals and antenna wires. I gloss coted, removed the masks, put the antenna on the forward top fuselage and glued the ramp on. Next post should be in the finished section.

Thanks, everything is done except the tail code, a white FB for the base, Forbes AFB, just above white numbers 522. I am hoping the white numbers-letters come in from Ukraine soon. May have to dodge a few "ballistic missiles" on the way here.
