This months shopping list.

Post by Stamford »

Not boxes of plastic but all the other diverse chemicals we can´t live without 2011. In honour of just being paid and getting my needs in before the boring tedium of paying for food and bills nicks all my dosh again  this month I´m waiting for Mr Mark Softener which Flakmonkey bullied me into ordering and eight assorted sheets of Micromesh that Andrew R pushed hard. Maybe its time our beloved admin staff declared their shareholding interests! Its all down to Mr Postman now - so what are you getting delivered?

If I was 'in need', it'd be;

Superglue Gel
Zipkicker Accelerator
Serious Glue
MicroSol
MicroSet
Micro Kristal Klear

Fortunately, I'm well sorted with all of these...including 'proper' Klear.

Bruce

I'd just like to categorically deny any financial interest in any modelling related companies. Just ask my financial advisor:

Soros@filthyrich.com. :ha:

He can usually be found in the Cayman Islands.

Cheers

I need a jar of white enamel. Seems pointless driving across town for just for that though, so I'll do without...

But surely while you are there, you might be able to pick up some other stuff?

Purely in the interests of making the trip worthwhile, naturally :-D

Trouble is that it caters mainly to the RC'ers - their plastic kit section is one shelf....The chaps who own the shop are nice guys, but there aren't enough plastic modellers in town for them to justify having a larger selection.

In the past I just assumed when you said "serious glue" it was an amusing short hand for CA. But googling I see it is an actual glue. Who knew? But I could never use it with modeling...I'm just not that serious. :)

I think we spend more on glue and paint then we ever do on kits.

thats becoming true for me at the mo :-D .....ive always liked vallejo paint for brushing but they are very expensive in my lms, but we have had a chain store open near us with a reputation for being cheap......found they have quite a selection in the 'arts' section.....humbrol and vallejo products with the vallejo less than 2/3 the price anywhere else ive seen it.....its actually cheaper than humbrol enamels or revell aquas!.......every time i walk past the place i call in and just buy a couple of random colours........be rude not to!

I just did a quick count up of what's in the various racks and it came to over 500 quid
Which reminds me, I do need to make a paint replenishment run very soon. Also I just ordered another pack of plastic card from Station Baseboards. Their starter packs are good value. And Lifecolor thinner, getting a bit low on that. Might as well grab some airbrush cleaner and EMA Plastic Weld whilst I'm there too. Hmmm, that bottle of Mr. Masking Sol Neo is about done for as well. Does it ever end?
