Hello From New Zealand
Hi All
I have just joined this forum, good to be here.
A little about myself, I'm an Air Force Brat (and proud of it ) I grew up here in Auckland New Zealand on the RNZAF bases here.
My father served with 5 Squadron at Hobsonville on the Sunderland flying boat, so yes got to see these beautiful aircraft and go on them (on the water) and I have one in my back yard so to speak.
My father also introduced me to modelling at a young age, and I'm still at it and loving it
Look forward to participating in the forums
Regards
Alan

Welcome Alan. Make yourself at home in here and I'll ask, to save others the trouble...what's the "LDS" part of your handle?
I assume that you're aware of the new Italeri Sunderland kit?
Regards,
Bruce

Re: Hello Fron New Zealand
Hi Gents
Thanks for the warm welcome, I have a number of Airfix kits in my Stash of varying scales.
Currently I am working on one in particular trying to get finished (trying being the operative here (time wise)).
Short Sunderland Mk III
http://airfixtributeforum.myfastforum.o ... 25459.html;
I have some other models on the go also as it is the 75th Anniversry of the RNZAF this year.
Yes, I know about the new Italeri Sunderland- have as yet to get my hands on one but hopefully soon. I see there's a in box review in the forums.
Regards
Alan

Hi Bruce; LDS means Latter Day Saint, usually it's other LDS members who get it on other forums I join .MerlinJones wrote:Welcome Alan. Make yourself at home in here and I'll ask, to save others the trouble...what's the "LDS" part of your handle?

Aaah...all is clear. LDS can also mean Learning Disability Specialist and it can also be a mind-altering drug for those with dyslexia.LDSModeller wrote:Hi Bruce; LDS means Latter Day Saint, usually it's other LDS members who get it on other forums I join
Regards,
Bruce...hoping to make contact with assorted wizards and/or afficianados of a certain famous aero engine.

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?
