Re: The Sea Shall Not Have Them - Tom's ASR Defiant
Yay progress I spent a very productive evening yesterday getting the decals on and painting the canopies, here's where the Defiant stands now:
Still lots to do.

Re: The Sea Shall Not Have Them - Tom's ASR Defiant
Thanks for the positivity gents
Attached the turret this afternoon as well as the main gear:
And another gratuitous close up of the turret armament, makes up for the rough framing :
Just gear doors, aerials and a Matt coat to go I think.
Regards
Tom

It looks great. It just shows what you can do with an old classic and a great bit of skill.

Re: The Sea Shall Not Have Them - Tom's ASR Defiant
Thanks all of you , I don't know much about skill Splash, mostly I just fudge it and hope for the best
Anyways I'm calling this finished now, I may in the future come back and re-do the ASR gear by following Davids example to make it much more realistic, but it'll do for now to give an impression of something under the wings:
Thanks for coming on this ride guys, this model gets the accolade of being my most expensive single seater and possible the most fun I've had modelling in quite a while.
Regards
Tom

Re: The Sea Shall Not Have Them - Tom's ASR Defiant
Coastal command colours are a refreshing change from the usual black and your finish looks great, the nose looks far better with a realistic engine cowling and those gun barrels set off the turret a treat.
