Hello from Cambridgeshire

Post by Wookie13 »

Real name Gordon, at the tender age of 50+ just got back into modelling! I'm blaming the recent acquisition of an 8 year old Stepson, I bought him an Airfix 1:72 Spitfire Mk1 (what else?) & then decided to build a PRXIX alongside & found myself hooked ;-)
Having scared myself with so much that is new since the 70's I'm on a steep learning curve!
I've decided to concentrate on aircraft from airbases in Cambridgeshire. I'm sticking to 1:48 for fighters, with a Revell Mossie B IV already tucked away to break that rule. For space reasons the big guys will have to be 1:72, helped by finding Revell Lanc & B 17G cheap on St Ives market on a stall!

First up is a Tamiya P51B/C from the 361st FG at Bottisham. Pictures when it's done, it's part way already!
