Well spotted that will add weight in the right placesMolly-new wrote:
It looks like the kit has metal undercarriage, which it is going to need with all that added weight.

Its been sat on my bench for two long as part of the twin engine fighter GB, the current Frog GB has spurred me on to get it finished, now my set of black Royal Navy decals has just arrived I have no excuse for not finishing it

Yes its the Frog canopy just dipped in Klear, all it needs is the frames painted on, its quite thick so I have not added any cockpit detail.dwomby wrote:Is that the Frog canopy on the Hornet or something else?

Another hole filled with Liquid Gravity, this build is starting to weigh more than the original
This is the LG filled hole with a drop of super glue to hold it in place.

The Provost is looking a little jaundiced after its coat of yellow on its wings and rear.

Back to plan "A"
I wasn't happy with the look of the silver and yellow, so it's back to plan "A" White over Red
So it was out with the white primer and another overspray

Re: Splash's Jet Provost T1
OK lets review my options, I have tried red and white and the red did not like the white primer, so I tried Silver and Yellow and the yellow lifted off with the masking tape when I tried a test strip, so it was back to an over spray with white primer again.
My options now are try a different Red to see if that will stick or mask the yellow and spray the silver then mask the silver and spray the Yellow this will stop the paint lifting I hope.
As the first T1 flew for the first time in 1954 I think the silver and yellow might be more suitable for this GB, so its out with the silver again.

Re: Splash's Jet Provost T1
This build is yet again putting up a struggle
Having rubbed down the paint that had come off on the wing, I tried to give it a quick coat of primer, when near disaster struck, just after the first dusting of paint it dropped out of the grips I was using and crashed to the ground.
The good news was no damage but a couple of flakes of dirt that will rub off when the paint sets.
I'm now tempted to just finish it quick and get it off my bench as it's not going in the box of shame ( only because it's full and has no more room )
Regards Splash

This sounds like one of those builds that, now matter how long one has been doing the hobby, seem to crop up every now and then. Hopefully you'll sort it.

Cheers for your support guys.
As you can see its back in the running again as the silver always sprays well.
