Looks a great silver finish on that.

I'm intrigued. I always paint the cockpit interior, attach the canopy and then mask it to paint the airframe. You are obviously not doing that in this one. I'll be fascinated to see the cockpit painted, etc..

I normally follow your line of building, but as this kit only has 6 main parts I thought I would try a different way. Plus I hate cutting vac form canopies so I'm putting off the stress for the end :-D

The yellow has gone on with no problems. By thinning it and using low pressure and several very light coats until the colour was solid, I have stopped any creep under the masking tape.

That silver does cover well, is it from a rattle can or is it from an airbrush?

It's Tamiya acrylic XF16 Flat Aluminium thinned with Tamiya thinners and airbrushed on over Tamiya white primer out of a rattle can.

The yellow was Tamiya XF3 Flat Yellow thinned and airbrushed straight on top of the silver.

For airbrushing, Tamiya paints are my preferred option, as I get consistent results and they dry quick and very quick if you use a hair dryer to speed up the process.

Those yellow stripes turned out perfect. I'll try to be patient applying paint like you were. Great result.

Cheers guys for all the nice comments, I'm happy how this one is turning out.

A touch of paint some tape seat belts and a Wessex Helicopters ip decals has got me to this stage.
