Doh. You could always, erm, build something else. :-D

Just another little hiccup for you to master David, as I am sure you will.

I've got one of these in the stash.

Anyone want to buy it?

The wheelbays were sawn down to half their depth (5mm) with a circular saw bit in the hobby drill and the roof was refitted, because these parts were delicate I wrapped the wheel bay boxes with tamiya tape to hold them together as this was done. both U/C assemblies are now glued down onto the lower wing.
Image

This done the upper wing halves actually fit and have been glued down, the tailplanes and tailwheel have also been fitted. The build can now pick up speed.

Another problem- the wing/engine fairings would not fit because the wheel boxes were proud of the wing so these had to be milled away to clear the obstruction.
Image

When I needed to fit the exhaust pipes I hit another wall as the locating holes were missing from the cowlings and needed drilling out.
Image

However the engines were eventually completed and are now ready to fit.

Blimey David, this is turning into a real wrestling match. Happily you seem to be getting the upper hand. You've done wonders with those engines particularly 8-) .

This build illustrates some of the reasons I'm not a fan of Roden kits.

I'm beginning to think you'd have been better off with a solid lump of plastic and a good sharp knife to whittle your own Heinkel  :-D

Roden usually do much better than this. I wonder why this kit is such a comprehensive disaster. Well done for taming it!
