Goodness - less a lozenge than a patchwork quilt....

It's a well worn and highly patched version!

And more lozenges on! The upper part of the upper wing is now almost finished.
The tail is getting there!

Good stuff!
If I'd thought about it at the time, I could have done a model of the SE5a that appears in the film!

Weren't the SE5As in the film converted Slingsbys?DazDaMan wrote:Good stuff!

These ESCI kits are simple and a bit crude, but they go together quickly. It's only the faffing about with the camo decal that slowing this build down.
cheers

No, the two SE5as were full-scale replicas built specially.
For the film Darling Lili, there were indeed six scaled-down replicas built for the film, which I think were based on the Currie Wot biplane.

Guess what I did this afternoon?
Yup, added some more lozenge camo. Just to shake things up a bit, some of it is the underside lozenge camo on the upper wing.

Hey, be happy, you're not having to hand paint them

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Great work on the lozenge scheme Andrew. It definitely justifies all your efforts

Looking really good Andrew. Are you adding individual rib tapes too?
