That is very, very nice. These old FROG kits often turn out very well.

That is an excellent build of the old Frog kit Gareth. The Wyvern is certainly a large, tough looking brute compared to the svelte Spitfire!

Continuing my long standing affair with Frog, here's Westland Wyvern S.4 WN325 wearing the "plums and custard" livery of 830 Squadron while aboard H.M.S. Eagle during Operation Musketeer in 1956.

I rather like that one too, there is so much to like about Wyverns, especially when they're as well made as these two. :)

What a good finish from a Frog kit, it must have taken a while. Exceptional work. How much filling and sanding did you have to get such a result?

Thanks again all, for the very kind comments. Nigel, to be honest the fit and finish of the model out of box was actually very good. So not much required in the way of filling and sanding. I did a modicum of scribing by following the raised panel lines, which in turn did not require much effort to sand flush. Most of the time I spent on polishing the paint finish with micro mesh sheets and microfibre towel. So primed, polished, finish coat and more polishing.

No final gloss coat was applied or necessary as the polishing brought the matt enamel paint finish to a nice sheen. The polishing takes a bit of time and effort but usually yields a nice result. :)

Looking forward to Splash's Dynavector Wyvern. I suspect it will be quite stunning.

That's fantastic and hard to believe it's the same scale as the Spit. I've seen the one at Yeovilton and I didn't realise how big it was att.

Superb builds. Not saying I'm impressed but I've dug out my old Frog Wyvern and it's on the build pile, I'v left the Trumpeter one in the stash (Though I may rob it of the RATOG gear for the Frog one.

All the best.
