I found I mixed up too much SCC2 Service Drab for my recent Milicast Sexton II, so I decided to use it up to repaint two old Universal Carrier and 6-pdr ATG that I made as a teenager. Regardless of your opinion on what color these were in Normandy, they certainly were not the mid-green color I originally painted these! Because I had to work fairly fast, I did not bother to fix these up much, so there are still mold lines and ejection pin marks to be seen. It adds character though... I then felt compelled to add crew figures. One has all four figures from the MMS British Carrier Crew set and the other has the two rear figures from MMS, the original Airfix Driver and a cut-down Airfix Commando Bren Gunner with a head transplant. The decals are from Aleran and represent Carriers from the 4th Battalion Kings Shropshire Light Infantry, 159th Infantry Brigade, 11th Armoured Division in Normandy.

The 6-pdr were married up with a new SHQ gun crew:
These come from two SHQ sets: BT43 'Useful Gunners, Kneeling (x3)' and BT45A 'Gunners with 6pdr ATG Shells (x3). The 'A' means that these have the Mk III '44 pattern 'tortoise shaped' helmet.

Each one is a glorious little vignette and superbly finished
Best wishes

These must have crept in under my radar Neil. They look great and you're also a real dab hand at painting those small scale figures as well.

Such detail, they really are inspiring for such a small scale. Well done.
