Airfix Me 109 G-6 1/72nd scale
Here is the latest boxing of this kit finished in the Swiss scheme provided in the kit. My fuselage mottling doesn't match the painting guide but I like it. I stippled the colour on with a short bristled brush.
And with the previous release in Finnish colours

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Nice job, Nigel. Always difficult to paint German without an airbrush. I have many that look just like yours!
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....

Splendid job - looks very good to me no matter how it was done.
Just out of interest, did the Swiss air force use airbrushes when painting their aircraft, or did they paint by hand? Are there any photos or descriptions of the process?

Seriously good work on both models and very striking appearance, especially in the Swiss markings.

Great finish, as Ian said, it's not easy mottling with the hairy stick!!!

Excellent job! You can't beat the hairy stick approach! Especially when I can't airbrush to save my life. George.

Thanks for all the positive responses guys, another one for the shelf. As a lad mine were all finished in German, British or American markings, getting quite a colourful collection now
