The 3D Kits Mk.II conversion consists of; 1. a new Rotol propeller with blunt spinner, 2. A replacement seat and control column (both used in these models, though barely noticeable. 3. decals for appropriate aircraft. This set can also be used to make a Mk.I with Rotol prop, as I am doing. In addition, the IILR conversion set includes the wing fuel tank. Unfortunately, it appears 3D Kits has just gone out of business, so grab these little sets while you can, so you can make some different Spitfires for your collection.
The Mk.I - the one with b+w undersides and black spinner - marked as an aircraft of 54 Sqn in March 1940, while the other model will be a Mk.IILR of 152 Sqn in August 1941.
Next step is to put on a coat of matt varnish, then the fiddly bits. Almost there!
