Wow! That is looking great, what a cracking metal finish. This is going to be a cracker.

Bit of a hiatus while I finished Spitfires, but this was back on the bench today.

Did some clean up of the Aluminium paint, then started decalling this evening. I had to double up on the wing roundels, as the red and Alu/Grey created a big contrast:

The fuselage decals have all gone on quite easily, so far:

Jim was kind enough to send me a pair of Canadian Ensigns for the fins, but unfortunately, they broke up quite badly. This is what I could salvage:

I'll try touching them up, but I'm not hopeful. I will probably have to revert to the earlier fin flashes.

Once all the decals are on, I'll work on the u/c, then final assembly. It'll be tight, but I think I'll be able to finish next Sunday.

Shame about those fin flashes. The rest of the decals and the paint job look gorgeous, I really like the Lanc in those colours.

That is a very nice scheme. Good luck with your tail decals.

Rest of the decals are on - here's me just playing around to see what it'll look like when I've glued it all together:

Beautiful. Are you going to weather it? It seems a pity to do the typical Lanc exhaust stains on those wings.

As they flew over the sea did they wash them down after each sortie?
