Post by OllieSmith »

Hi all, New project on the go, a little larger than anything I've built previously, good fun so far!!!

Scratch built some seat harneses and cushioned back for the seat, progress so far-

Great to see one of these classic Airfix "Superkits" on the go Ollie and that is a seriously good start!

Your first effort at scratch building looks pretty good to me Ollie, that is a great looking cockpit area 8-)

Agreed. That looks very good indeed Ollie  Careful though or you'll get addicted to the large scale and to scratchbuilding ;-) :ha:

Cheers Shaunw :) thanks too Tom, I've got a vb 1/24 spit to do at some point and I must say that that I can't wait to get started on it !!! The scratch building is fun!!!! I wish I'd taken a picture of the seat back padding that I made as the seat was smooth before and you can't really see it in the pics behind the harneses :/ so far the build has been problem free, fingers crossed it stays that way lol....
