Kittingham sounds great ("Kitting 'em!"). 8-)

If we did Bagpuize Kingston, we have to have a an old antiques shop with a saggy, old cloth cat, baggy, and a bit loose at the seams, sitting in the window... ;-)

Can I correct your spelling Sir - Lashingham surely :ha: Lash = old English name ingas = peoples ham = home
I like the derivation of place names
Ton is derived from tun, meaning farm - now you'll go away noticing these snippets in English place names

We could do like the welsh did and have the longest named railway station in GB.

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Oh, I don't know. I hate Hu Rail Acrylics so I'd just look for something in Vallejo .... haven't got that far yet, but it can't be too hard.

I've heard that Railmatch and Precision Paints are very good but I don't have any first hand experience of them.

Problem is they are UK paints and last I looked neither had international distribution due to the paint shipping fiasco.

Yes; they'll need to be something available here. Anything close by Floquil? As long as we match, John....

Hi Guys,

may I please ask everyone to check the list at the top of the thread a). for accuracy and b). to let me know if there is anything you are intending to build or already have built that I have not shown yet. In all the enthusiasm (which is brilliant) I'm a bit lost as to which are actual pledges and which are not.

eBay
As we have done in previous years, it may be an idea to post here if anyone is actively bidding for an item on eBay to make sure we are not bidding against each over - I'm thinking of some of the harder to find items which may demand a bit more money - it will save pushing each others bids up if the situation does arise, e.g.

Beany - AIRFIX TELEGRAPH POLES BAGGED PACKET Item No. 261861950425

I won those by the way, that's just shown as an example.
Cheers
Al.
