Yes Airfix/DAPOL

The size caught me by surprise, I built it as a kid but forgot how big it was.

I've had my eye on one, simply because it is so different to anything I normally build. Might be worth seeking out one on The Bay.

Cheers Chris

The white goods are paper based so are cheap and quick to build.

I have added the base weathering and will add the rust washes next.

I have now added the ballest to the turntable.

And printed off some dockside cobblestones, my plan is to raise the base just high enough so that the rail track will be flush with the cobblestones.

The rails have been set into the cobblestones I now need to add two rails for the crane.

Nice!

You need to run a rake through that ballast - turn it into a zen garden..... :ha:

I asked if anyone had a Deltic we could use as I wanted to spend more time on the big German locomotive but as I had no responses I have started on the Deltic and will leave the other kit in the stash.

The Deltic has been a real surprise the fit is. Excellent and the amount of flash was minimal ( this is the advantage of building the original kitmaster kit and not the Airfix/dapol versions)

So far no need for any filler. :-D

Slight problem trying to match the Deltic blue I started with tamiya gloss sky blue but found that was too dark so I have lightened the blue with white but I'm still not sure if it's light enough ?

Brilliant work going on here Splash, really top stuff. I'll leave the Delly colour to the more knowledgeable as I can't trust my colour vision at the best of times
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Humbrol 109 WW1 Blue is good ;-)
All models are equal. Some models are more equal than others.

I picked up the Humbrol 109 and a Revell Aqua colour to experiment with

unfortunately Humbrol only do 109 in enamel, but that's fine if the colour is right.

Time to run off some test strips to see what the colours dry like.
