The decals do look the business PT and I'm glad it's not 06 on the front ;-)

The aircraft look pretty awesome too. Not the ones from the kit I take it?

Cheers Cap'n, Howard, Nigel,
the two SLUFs are from the kit and so is the Phantom, the Vigilante is just one of a bunch of wee planes that Howard (Jamesaw) very kindly sent me to make up some of each type from the Saras 1969 Airwing.
Next stage is to scratch some deck tractors as the kit shows one in the instructions but instead has two cranes.

Are there no deck tractors in the kit? I've built the Kitty Hawk and that had tractors included.

2 deck tractors are right beside the sprue section containing the A6's (near the cranes). I have the kit and they are listed as parts 73. Hopefully they are there on yours.

Yay! found them! Cheers Howard, once I knew where to look (a section of sprue that I had cut off and set aside for spraying) I found one, and once I knew what to look for I found the other one nestling in a corner fold of the box. No wonder I had trouble finding them, they're TINY!

They are that. I had to pull out my magnifier to make sure that's what they were.

More work on the Airwing and all the fiddly stuff on the mast (the photo of the mast seen through the magnifier didn't turn out) ....with a pause for a snack.

That looks amazing. And yes I feel your pain regarding the decals. Many moons ago when I built the Revell USS Lexington I remember the deck markings doing pretty much the same thing. Cracking good build though!

Supremely impressed with the way this is turning out PT. And I'm very glad that you found those pesky tractors :)
