Hi Andrew - Sorry to hear of your troubles - I hope everything with the little guy calms back down again and gets sorted.
It's a great finish BTW - thanks for taking part!

I am pleased to announce a full recovery for Penelope Penguin, who has had a new beak grafted on this afternoon. A team of surgeons laboured for over a minute in this delicate operation. Tissue donation from a friendly octopus was much appreciated

Four days of disrupted sleep has left me a bit knackered. And I have to teach for three hours this evening.

Yes, it's another night of disrupted sleep.
Our intrepid Antarctic explorers had a sepia wash, or flesh tone on the face. I put a lighter brown around the face to represent a furry trim and hide any stray flesh paint.
The base really needs a little extra effort, to disguise join lines in the foam.
Overall though, a good project. Some challenges and some new skills tried out. How transferable making 1/72 scale penguins is going to be, I have no idea
This is a nice project. If I did another one, I would replace the entire undercarriage and strut assemblies.
Cheers
Andrew

You could move up to sharks for the seaplane GB
Seriously, the penguins are a super addition to the diorama, Well Done !
