Hi Andrew - Sorry to hear of your troubles - I hope everything with the little guy calms back down again and gets sorted.

It's a great finish BTW - thanks for taking part!

Regards

Stuart

I am pleased to announce a full recovery for Penelope Penguin, who has had a new beak grafted on this afternoon. A team of surgeons laboured for over a minute in this delicate operation. Tissue donation from a friendly octopus was much appreciated

Talked to one set of Docs and they want to up the dose of meds. Now the second set of Docs has to agree!

Four days of disrupted sleep has left me a bit knackered. And I have to teach for three hours this evening. :omg

Yes, it's another night of disrupted sleep.

Our intrepid Antarctic explorers had a sepia wash, or flesh tone on the face. I put a lighter brown around the face to represent a furry trim and hide any stray flesh paint.

The base really needs a little extra effort, to disguise join lines in the foam.

Overall though, a good project. Some challenges and some new skills tried out. How transferable making 1/72 scale penguins is going to be, I have no idea :-D

This is a nice project. If I did another one, I would replace the entire undercarriage and strut assemblies.

Cheers
