Looking good so far. Like the plot line. I think I've been there myself

Ah, the lake. Looks great. Must have Northern Pike in there.

Plenty of perch at the shoreline. Graham caught one with a net this morning!
The pike are probably offshore a bit.

Getting the wing together. It's an impressive wingspan once all three sections are together.
I had a twinge in my back (probably from the diving and swimming in the lake yesterday ), so couldn't do too much painting. Got the interior pieces primed, though.

Re: Andrew's Airfix Ford Trimotor
The wing has had a few gaps filled and sanded down.
The seats have had a coat of dark grey primer and so will need the seat cushions picking out in a medium grey. And the antimacassars, naturally
Then we should be able to get the cabin together.

Where's the lake? Looks nice.

Lac St. Pierre de Wakefield in Quebec. It's about 40 minutes from Ottawa, much cooler and less humid than the city.PaulBradley wrote:Looking good so far, Andrew.

A light coat of paint to test out the joints on the wing.
Upper wing joints are good. Leading and trailing edge have a few places that need work!
Cabin gets a spray of light blue grey.

Re: Andrew's Airfix Ford Trimotor
A week of almost no time to do modelling for various reasons! Big modelling session this afternoon though:
Seats painted with field blue cushions and then decal antimacassars installed. Standards have slipped a bit, as one or two are not straight on the seats.
The wing section has had a round of fill and sand and is much better than before. The trailing edge is passable, the leading edge still needs a bit of work.
The underside bit of the fuselage has also had a coat of the interior grey.
