I misread this and thought you were saying you had done the Light Gull Grey, and was very confused because it looked like white. This one is really moving along. You're doing a fantastic job with it!
Good blitz/food/music. I'll check back later, but at this rate you should be done in time for an afternoon nap.
Re: Jeff meets a Cougar***starting 8-11-15 0630EDT US***
Hour 8 and the Lt Gull Grey is added. I also used Dark Gull Grey for the anti-skid area over the intakes.

Good music and great looking plane. That design looked good in anything: blue, grey/white, white/red.

A good model is any model you can walk away from.

Hour 9 and decalling has commenced. Microscale decals that came with the kit. The instruction sheet is so dark that I am using the internet pictures of VF-81 to lock down placement.

Thanks friends.
Hour 10 and the decalling is finished. A couple have wrinkled under the Future so will have to be careful and let things set up.
The anti glare panel needs to painted as well as the bare leading edges of the wings and stabilizers. Mount the glass and stuff in the tail pipe is on my short list.
Now another musical interlude.

Certainly amongst the best musical interludes we have ever seen. Hat tipped. Good choice.jssel wrote: Now another musical interlude.

Some Bob Calvert era Hawkwind would be good. Just saying.
Edited to add: that masking is neat as funk. Wonderful work. Really, wonderful.

Hour 11.5 and I am calling this one done. It was a hoot to build and loved every minute of it. The biggest challenge that the Blitzbau offers is nearing the end and having impatience kick your butt. But again a good kit and prior planning wins everything.
Final Time hack:
Thanks for following along and one final Brit oldie.
