Jesus God, my arteries are hardening just looking at it..
OK, first bit of glue has gone on and we have a.....seat. How impressive.
Tidied up the bacon sarnie..
and made a quick beer run, as the offies here shut forever at 10 on the dot.. so here we have a Galway Bay 'Full Sail' IPA, a 5.8% hop bomb that's just perfect for screwing up styrene

I had a very similar experience when I first saw my future wife. Without expanding upon that I have to say you are doing well so far.Arcwelder wrote:Jesus God, my arteries are hardening just looking at it..
Keep at it. You will do this easily I reckon if you carry on this way.

Cheers mate. And yeah, it feels like agonizingly slow progress, but it'll speed up immensely once the cockpit etc is done and the fuselage is together

Re: Arc has a bit of a Tiff..
Work continues... slowly. It may be the damp conditions, but the acrylics are taking forever to dry. Anyway, gives me time for some "detail" work. This is what I chopped up a wing for..
initial dry brushing of thge cockpit detail.. needs more work
and getting the ordinance together.. may go for the bomb option if time is pressing, but let's try rockets for now.
Having another Full Sail and have the incomparable Minutemen on the jambox..

Re: Arc has a bit of a Tiff..
I was feeling bad about this build.. too much time used on too little progress.. and then suddenly everything came together and I took a huge leap forward.
Looking plane-esque..
and REALLY looking like a plane
This is as far as I'll get tonight. I have to work for a few hours in the morning but should get a good six hrs to finish this tomorrow.

Bloody awful radio program. Meanwhile, some interesting modelling taking part in this thread. I particularly enjoyed the part where it started to look like a plane.PaulBradley wrote:flakmonkey wrote:It will snap together. They always do.

The good news is, it still resembles a plane this morning. A quick coat of Hu106 and then off to work (a very quick coat.. left it a little late to emerge from the pit). Play will resume at 2.30ish, with England throttling Australia in the Test Match as a backdrop.

That's a great looking model so far, and your are right it would have been a shame to hide that gun bay detail, although I would never have been able to do it myself!

Cheers gents... I might have to do another one of these in a more considered fashion. It's a smashing wee kit.
