Re WEM: Toms Modelworks took on some of the range, and Peter Hall is doing something with some of the stuff too. Whether either are "doing these" is another matter...
The WEM website is back up and running from the US, so I assume that's Tom's Modelworks. They say that the resin kits are "coming soon", so the fact that they are all out of stock may be no surprise, but here we are:
above is a link to one that someone started as a scratchbuilt.
there was that box of 10 german boats that I think Heller sold which were 1:400 or smaller, I was trying to find a link to it somewhere to see if there was anything in there that could be useful.
Well done Matt, yes that was it. While I generally despise things with wings, I think the easy option may mean I resign myself to buying and building a beaufighter or similar providing I can get allocated one in an easy colour scheme. (Sorry Tom..... but I will need telling precisely what kit and any options in it etc to use/avoid.) If a cheap older tool kit gets recommended I might have better success with it than a new tool. However I will wait in the sidelines and see what else raises its head as a possible option for me.
When WEM broke up, I think paints went one way, photo-etch went to Tom's, but resin may have gotten parceled out. I talked to Tom's at the IPMS/USA show and his priority was getting the photo-etch going (which he has). I'll see what I can find out - I sent them a note.
But I still think I saw another ad for something similar recently ...

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

I have it on pre-order, to be delivered around Christmas.
This has been useful in filling in a couple of gaps in the lists I'm creating; I still need info on 65 Sqn serial/code match-ups though.
Ooh I like the look of that sheet Paul, I'm starting to think that Terry at Aviaeology has a bit of a soft spot for Coastal Command. Just a thought but maybe in the future we should look to contact him and see if we can steer him towards a few forgotten aircraft types.
Were 65sqn the ASR unit assigned to the op? I might have some details at home so I'll take a look when I finish work.
65 were the escort squadron of Mustangs. I have four serial/code tie-ins - probably enough, but I'd like to get the full set of 10 if at all possible. My research suggests that might not be possible though.
Terry is in Canada and concentrates on Canadian subjects; I've had contact with him in the past and if you want me to pass along ideas, I'd be happy to approach him.
