After a coat of Klear I have tried to get some variation by using a light over spray of Tamiya Buff (most of this will be lost when I cover the tail end in exhaust soot)

That overspraying worked really well to create the worn look during Granby. I'll have to try it sometime.

Very high standard as usual, Splash. Particularly enjoying this as the Sea King has always been my favourite whirlybird.

Airfix supply decals for the black area around the engine exhaust but I felt it was too black, so I used the deacals as a template to cut out a mask and then spayed the area with Tamiya NATO Black.

Is coming along nicely. Just saw Airfix is releasing the HAR.3 version. Might pick up one or both of these.

I have the Cyber-Hobby kit and the decal set to make Helo 66 someday. Also have the old Revell Jolly Green Giant to do someday.

Huh, wonder how far away someday really is?

When the Cyber-Hobby kit came out I thought great at last a Mk4, but on looking at the kit it was full of big errors and very expensive so I never went down that route.

Nice sand filter btw Splash; looks like cross-kitting might be the way to nirvana in Sea King terms.... :-D
Best wishes
