Bang on, Andrew. Mk1 Hurricane. I'm currently sick of Gladiators, having recently built both the Roden and Airfix ones. Some possibly great colour schemes, though.

Re: Any type of kit Whiffery **Up-date**
Hmm interesting. I've long thought of doing my TSR2 in a wacky colorful Norwegian scheme, well one that doesn't exist offcourse.
It will just be fantasy paint/markings (well the roundels are RNoAF, but rest is fantasy). Is that allowed?
"Two basic categories;
Simple decal changes, maybe with mild surgery
Surgery or major replacement of parts."
Reading the above, I'll answer my own question.
In my case it would be extreme surgery paint wise, so I'm guessing it's a no. I could always try and find a real RNoAF scheme, but then have to find a different plane to hack at as my TSR2 will be wacky.

Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Can I hop in on this one with a Taiwanese F-20 Tigershark?

A Mk I Hurricane would certainly give an early Bf-109 a run for its money.Kevan Bailey wrote:Bang on, Andrew. Mk1 Hurricane. I'm currently sick of Gladiators, having recently built both the Roden and Airfix ones. Some possibly great colour schemes, though.

I've been thinking hard about what to butcher..... I mean build for this. From turboprop spitfire, Griffon powered Hurricane or Mosquito. A captured aircraft (soviet SR71 anyone?) even considered a tanker version of the Nimrod, a 'big wing' Phantom, and many more barking mad ideas. decisions decisions. HMMMM. I could even dig something highly collectable and more than a little rare out to 'whif' . Now THATS an idea.

Re: Any type of kit Whiffery **Now with 1st Date Poll**
Are we still interested in this? It doesn't reflect a similarity to the current 'One thing to another' GB does it?fredk wrote:The poll has ended.

I'm going to set the dates
Thursday 15th September to Sunday 16th October
That gives 16 days in each of the two most popular months.
Anyone against this?
A reminder of who's in as of March 22nd

What its about:
Two basic categories;
Simple decal changes, maybe with mild surgery
Surgery or major replacement of parts.
But all must have a story to back it up.
This is not the same as the soon to come 'one thing into another' GB which is for real stuff, this is to let the imagination run wild.
I'll update the name list later.

I don't think it conflicts with the One Thing to Another GB, that is conversion of something to another version or state, whereas this is something that did not happen. I think that's clear!
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!
