Re: Seafire 17
Slight change in plan, I was going to copy the Seafire 17 in the Fleet Air Arm museum, but having seen the kits decals, I like the supplied markings so this will now be OOB
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
Re: Seafire 17
That's looking really good... I have some of that Tamiya / nitto tape and it's excellent.
It looks so good I now need to get one....
Following with interest.

That does look good that - the FAA really had some good schemes.

Very sharp!
Best wishes

Re: Seafire 17
The Tamiya clear gloss worked well and made adding the decals a breeze.
I normally use oil paint and white spirit for my washes, but following Flackmonkies advice, I followed him and used oil paint thinned with lighter fluid.
I found the lighter fluid thinned the oil paint much better and it flowed into the panel lines further, the lighter fluid must be thinner or have less surface tension, so I will defiantly change my technique and use it again

Awwwwwwww c'mon!
Isn't it enough that you cause 'Chopper Envy' without nailing fixed wings as well?
That is looking damn fine!

If only I could paint figures and AFV's I would be happy.

That wash looks terrific. I like the way it shows the folding wing detail.

Loving the wash; it looks superb around the engine panels, and just where an erk with grubby mitts was likely to have been!
Best wishes
