Gadfly's Vb and Seafire IIC *Finished*

Honoring Edgar Brooks, a Spitfire researcher and contributor to many modelling forums, we have the Every Mark of Spitfire GB -- in which at least one of each will be built, not in a free-for-all, but to a "plan".
The GB runs from 27 Feb 2016 to 10 April and your host are Martin R and Sir T.

More work on the Seafire..

Mainly filling some seams on the wing to fuselage join.

I also drilled out the machine gun apertures in the wing and added some aluminium tube which I then filed back to the leading edge profile to ensure the hole were nice and round and more of a scale size. I also added a bit for the camera gun port in the wing root.

Underneath I have added the carb intake and oil cooler and the flaps. Airfix supply these posed down so I removed the rib 'detail' and have closed them up the smaller bits are still to do as it the radiator. Oh I also added the cannon blanking plugs.

I mixed the slate grey form some Tamiya colours and the EDSG is Tamiya German grey slightly lightened Sky for the undersides is out of the bottle. All were thinned with Lacquer thinners. I used paper masks cut from a photocopy of the sheet Tamiya supply with their kits for the camo scheme.

I've also added the strengthening plates and stringer from some plastic strip / sheet and added a bit of Rivet detail.

More later...

Cheers
